terms and conditions
- The term "client" refers to the family looking for an au pair. The term "agency" refers to e-aupairs.
- The agency provides an introduction between the
family and au pair but whilst the agency makes every reasonable effort
to verify the integrity and suitability of an au pair, the agency
cannot be held liable for any loss, damage, negligence, dishonest or
malicious act by the au pair.
- All introductions passed onto e-aupairs are strictly confidential.
- The terms stated on the registration form will form a
contract between the family and au pair. The Terms and Conditions of
e-aupairs will be deemed as accepted by the family by completion of the
registration form.
- The agency will send an invoice to the client once an
au pair has been accepted and the client shall pay the full placement
fee. No travel arrangements can be made until the full fee is received
by the agency.
- All invoices to be paid within 7 days of issue. The
agency reserves the right to charge interest on any unpaid amount at
the rate of 15% of the fee.
- An au pairs file is confidential so any information
contained therein must not be passed on to any other persons. Should
this happen then the original fee will be charged again.
- The fee payable is for the original introduction so
should your au pair decide to leave the family early the agency cannot
be held responsible.
- In the unlikely event that the au pair decides to
cancel after the initial acceptance, the agency will do their best to
find a suitable replacement; otherwise we will refund the placement fee
(but not the registration fee).
- In the unlikely event that the family decides to
cancel after an au pair has been accepted, half the placement fee will
be payable. The family is responsible for reimbursing the au pair for
any loss of travel expenses incurred.
- Should an au pair prove to be unsatisfactory within
21 days there will be no refund but we will do our utmost to provide a
replacement without any additional cost provided that the agency is
informed of the circumstances and a satisfactory explanation is given
for the departure of the au pair. However, at certain times of the
year, a replacement may not be possible.
- Written notice of two weeks should be given to both
the au pair and the agency should the family no longer require the au
pair. During this time the au pair should be allowed to continue with
their normal duties and receive pocket money as usual. The au pair must
not be made to leave the family home unless criminal activity has been
made in which case the family should inform the Police and the agency.
- Should the au pair leave the family due to
unreasonable conditions i.e. too many hours, no free days etc, then no
refund will be given.
- If the family require the au pair to drive, this
shall be the full responsibility of the family concerned. The agency
cannot accept any responsibility for this whatsoever.
- The family must understand that the au pair scheme is
a cultural exchange and not a contract of work. It is the families'
responsibility to integrate the au pair into their family life, help
with English learning and by all accounts treat him/her as part of the
family.
- The agency has the right to remove an au pair from a
family if the family fails to follow the guidelines or Terms &
Conditions or for giving false information when registering. In these
cases, no refund will be available.
